Go back into reading mythology and local folklore where there are vampiric characters portrayed. Sex appeal is always in the forefront. It is part of the 'charm' that calls to the victims to allow them access to their homes, as a vampire by myth, can not go in where he/she is not invited. Reread Dracula, and more to the point, some Eastern European stories concerning the undead........their victims wanted to be 'taken', just not the way they were. Some even begged to be made undead, just to constantly be around the vampire.

Many years ago I had girly wet dreams over Keifer Sutherland in The Lost Boys - that stupid traitorous Starr, how could she? Blond vampires are the most scary, insidious and spunky. But I've grown up a bit and don't find vampires sexy anymore. I like a clean brainy sweetheart boy now. Vampires look a bit smelly.

I have this strange vampire fetish. I've had it for about 4 years. I even had a dream the other night that my partner was a vampire. I'd never go as far as getting him to dress up as one but he finds it funny to bite me when we're in bed cos he knows it drives me wild. I think it all started with David Boreanez in Buffy... but I think the sexiest one is Stephen Dorff in Blade...mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I do, I consider it a lapse, but I so suspect that some of the
sexiness in the novels is due to Ann Rice's expert writing skills, nothing innate in the genre.

Not since "The Hunger" -- hell, that movie even managed to make Susan Sarandon seem somewhat sexy!
But the stuff today is mostly tripe, especially the schlock of whats-her-name, Laurell Hamilton...
