you will need to set up a wireless network on your computer. You can do this by going to start>control panel>network setup wizard and follow the prompts. Then follow the intructions for telling the wii to locate a wireless connection. It's not quite as simple as most people make it out to be, but not impossible either.

Nintendo have released a USB 'dongle' for your computer which you simply plug into your PC and this will connect with your Wii wirelessly. The only disadvantage of this is that your Wii will only be connected to the internet when your PC is switched on. If you don't wanna go wireless (by buying a wireless router) then Nintendo (and some 3rd party companies) have released another USB device that plugs into the back of your Wii, which has an ethernet socket in it. You can then connect your Wii directly to your router or PC.
Check the link ive put in source.

You can do this without setting up a wireless connection...buy the plug in piece for the back of your computer from nintendo.com. It transmits a wireless connection to your wii. It's $40 i think.

you have a wireless router right?

well enable its wireless thingy, go to wii options, then internet, select search for an access point and it should find yours, if not, move it closer as might be too far away.

if more than one is found, refer to what your box is called.. and if there is a password encryption - then you need to select the same encoding as the box, type in the characters (case sensitive) and you're all set, no need to buy nothing, and if it is password encrypted, no need to worry about other people getting in =)
