A light year is a distance, the distance light travels in one earth year (a period of time).

It's about 9,461 trillion meters

One.

A light year is a measure of DISTANCE, not time. It is like saying that New York is 8 hours from Los Angeles. That means it takes 8 hours flying at the speed of an airliner to get there. Saying that a star is 10 light years away means that it takes 10 years to get there flying at the speed of light.

None. A "light-year" is a measure of distance. It is the distance that light travels in 1 year, equal to 9.461 × 10^12 kilometers, or 5.879×10^12 miles. The nearest star is about 4 light-years away

1 light-year =
9,461,000,000,000 kilometers
5,879,000,000,000 miles
0.3066 parsecs

A light-year is a unit of distance. It is the distance that light can travel in one year. Light moves at a velocity of about 300,000 kilometers (km) each second. So in one year, it can travel about 10 trillion km. More precisely, one light-year is equal to 9,500,000,000,000 kilometers.

How many oranges does it take to make a 12 inch apple pie?
This can't be compared because one(earth year) is a time measurement. the other(light year) is a speed measurement. It can be argued, however that speed and time are related.

The unit of measurement comes from us.

It is the distance of travel in that period of time that is the issue.

Technically it's a solar year, 365.25 days

ONE.

A light-year is a distance, not a time unit.

I just want to know if you do ANY research on your question before regurgitating it.
