As a commoner.......i wouldn`t know..........but there must be......as One of my ex-sargent-majors got a O.B.E, and as soon as people saw it on his Cheques by his printed name he got treated differently...lol so just think how the higher awards work

It opens doors socially, and to be called "Sir," can be really exhilarating, I would think. I love the sound "Sir Anthony."
