I just recently got two tattoos, one on my shoulder and one on my ankle. We are going to a family picnic at my husband's grandmother's house this weekend. They are all super conservative, and I know someone is going to say something to me (ie, Why would you do that?, etc) I could use a good comeback otherwise I'm going to be standing there going, "uhhhh, ummm"

Thanks guys, you're awesome!

I am covered in ink, and find saying, "If YOU don't like tattoos then I recommend you not get any." They will certainly say that crap about your body being a temple blah blah blah and you can always hiss like a cat, that's effective. You can wear clothing that covers them and secretly hope they collectively poop their pants at midnight for being so uptight. Have fun at the picnic.

If by "super conservative" you mean religious, they have concerns where in the Bible, God commands the Israelites not to mark their bodies with tattoos. You could tell them that reference is Old Testament and you are no longer subject to Old Testament law, but what would be the point if you are not "super conservative" yourself? If it gets to a serious debate, simply ask them why they where attractive clothes or even jewelry? It's the same reason you have your tattoos. You like the way they look on you.
