wouldn't think so. after all this is not your responsibility since Mother Nature has her own activities. if I owned a piece of land with a volcano on it though I would pay homage to the Goddess Pele every week just to insure nothing drastic would occur. after all one should respect the Ancient Ways in these matters.

I would say that the town knew and accepted the risk, therefore you do not have to pay.

My home owners policy states that it will not cover my house if it is destroyed by a thermo nuclear device - I swear, laughed my butt off.

You always need a better lawyer than the other guy. Assume nothing. Common sense is still in short supply and greed is king with most people.
