They are paid for by State and local governments not the federal government. If the federal government were to provide fireworks for every state, that would be a socialist thing to do.

Remember! State & local ok. Federal no good.

Dude, DC is a special case. They are not part of any state. The Federal Government is the state government of DC. Why do you think crime is out of control and the schools are the worst in the nation? That is what Federal control does for you.

Obviously it’s a socialist plot if you go by the definition put forth by some conservatives. Anything paid for and initiated by the government for the benefit of the people is socialism in their view. Their views are so skewed and so antiquated that it is ridiculous.
