A day recognized on July 4th of every year in remembrance of the date the Declaration of Independence was signed which I believe was on July 2, 1776 and was announce publicly on July 4th. The colonies declared on this date that it would no longer be subjugated to the tyranny of the British Kings and sought to establish it's own government of the people, by the people and for the people.
