Hi! The answer to your question is YES. The new Orion spacecraft will likely launch around 2014. It is still under development. There will be a manned mission to the moon no earlier than 2020. The vehicle will be able to carry four astronauts to the moon and, in contrast to Apollo, all four astronauts will be able to land on the moon while the CEV (Crew Exploration Vehicle) autonomously orbits the moon. The shuttle is to be retired on 2010 and we will be depending on Russian support for the ISS missions during this time gap. The Orion project is part of NASA's Constellation program.

NASA is planning another trip to the Moon, in 15 years or so, which is not that soon. However congress has not authorized the money necessary to implement NASA's lunar plans, only the low Earth orbit part of the plan.

I think NASA had enough research on moon, they are now more concentrate on Mars and NASA's ongoing investigations include in-depth surveys of Mars and Saturn and studies of the Earth and Sun. Other NASA spacecraft are presently en route to Mercury and Pluto. With missions to Jupiter in planning stages, NASA's itinerary covers over half the solar system.
