Balance of your thoughts and how you live and carry out your life on a daily basis. Mediation is good for that. Taking a few moments each day just for yourself, to be quiet and let all the thoughts pass through your mind, like a colander, filter out what can stay and what needs to go, as if they were on a conveyor belt. Our mind needs purging just like the rest of us when we get too full of something. If you do not take the time to do this purge, you will find that your mind will feel overwhelmed, and you can get emotional and tired. It is a healthy habit, and will be good for you to find and maintain a balance in your life.

Read words of wisdom such as Buddhism, Upanishads, Boethius, Baghavad Gita, learn the noble truth that frees yourself from false identification and obscene sympathetic depressions. Have compassion for all beings, because this allows you to see the suffering of the world, but do not become strangled in these very bonds. Free yourself from suffering by contemplating the divine light of your mind.

I clawed my way out of a depression a couple years ago. I read that a cardio workouts were a help and that turned out to be great advice. I could stop the negative thought-loop, concentrate on music, and afterward the black cloud that surrounded me was a little thinner.

Peace of mind and happiness go hand in hand.

True Happiness happens whenever we are not judging anything.

Any time that you are not judging you are happy and at peace.

The moment that you start judging, you find something to be unhappy about and your peace is shattered.

It really is that simple.

Love and blessings Don

Peace of mind comes from acceptance of who you are. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks of you. It only matters that you can feel that you are doing the best job that YOU can do.

All I ever needed to know, I learned from the tv show Kung Fu.

Kane was going to be hanged for a crime he didn't commit. The other prisoners saw how cool he was and asked him why he wasn't upset. He said that if the sheriff was going to hang him, he was going to be hung. It wouldn't matter if he was upset or not.

I try to live that way.
