The Rockies just became the first team to sweep both the Mets and Yankees in the same regular season. They beat the Yanks in 3 straight last month, and just finished off the Mets.
The 1963 Dodgers swept the Yankees in the World Series after doing the same to the Mets during the regular season, but the last team to beat two NY teams during the same season was the 1956 Milwaukee Braves, who swept both the Brooklyn Dodgers and NY Giants.
