It is very difficult to evict someone, even when there is reason! The laws protect the tenant. This doesn't mean your landlord won't try...make sure you keep record of everything, even start journaling details of what is going on on a daily basis, even if it's just conversation...it will also help you to keep things in perspective.

It also wouldn't hurt to talk with a "DOVE" attorney in your area...if your not familiar they are ones that help people without charging or using a sliding scale (they basically donate their time for people who need a lawyer and can't afford one)

The other thing that would be in your best interest is to contact the state you live in, just so that you have something on record..just ask them what you should do..tell them it needs to be confidential, as not to upset the landlord any more.

And is the landlord the owner? Can you talk with the owner? Look into all your options, and try to stay out of the drama, let them come to you...you just go about your day!
Good luck!

No, it is not legal at all. Make sure you keep your rent receipts and also keep a record of all incidents when they happen. If you ever need to go in front of a judge you could bring it with you. Keep opinion out of it and stick to the facts. If this becomes a nuisance you need to call the housing authority or whoever subsidizes the payment that is sent on your behalf. There are strict fair housing laws that need to be followed especially in subsidized housing. Good luck!

You have an agent then or go to the housing center and tell an agent your fears. Tell her the reasons that your concerned with. This is a public housing and comes under both Federal and State laws, this could also mean "Fair housing" so they may be concerned that someone is using the system for their own benefit.
You could file a formal complaint.
