When I lived in a flat near a railway line, I once had a bright white light start off small and gradually get bigger and brighter until it was huge, coming from the bottom of my bedroom. There was no window there. It was like the headlight of a train coming towards you. I know people have thrown themselves in front of trains where the flat was, and the flat was an old converted doctors surgery. When I lived with my parents, there was a graveyard down the road that for some reason creeped me out(they don't normally).I had lots of experiences in that house.Horrific dreams, noises, and most frightening was being pinned to my bed when I was awake. When I moved away it all stopped.

No! Haven't seen one, nor do I expect to. Maybe that's the clue - only people who are receptive to the idea of ghosts will experience them. I've done ghost tours, including York which is supposed to be the most haunted City in the UK - not even a whisper of a ghost or a rattle of chains.
Does anyone have any suggestions where I might see one?

oh yes, many times, especially in that one place I lived a couple of years ago for two years. But only one time it was a bit scary because the spirits became too many and kind of aggressive until the resident spirit of the place came to shoo them away. That place was probably what you could call 'haunted', I saw 'ghosts' frequently, and so did friends who came over for the night. Another place I lived was close to a Chinese cemetery and I had visitations, too, but never of the scary kind, more of the curious kind. Now I live again next to a cemetery (native) but here the spirits seem to be at ease and in no need for showing themselves. I kind of miss visits of ghosts now...!

Actually yes I have. It was actually a couple months ago. I went to gettysburg with a few friends well actually alot of friends and we rented a coach bus to go there and we brought lunches and stuff. Then I saw a man in the back of the bus. He was in a southern soldiers uniform. When we got off the bus and came back on some stuff was moved around when we were off the bus. It was really cool.

I have seen a ghost when i was very young. It was a soldier in a red uniform. I lived in a cottage near culloden battlefield and it was scary, i must have been around 5yrs old at the time. I have never seen one since, i only feel when there is a presence around. My grandmother had the same sighting in one of the bedrooms.

No, I can't actually see them. But I can feel them and I can hear them. They're around me all the time. ;) Was it scary? It can be; I've been frigthened by them on many occassions simply b/c I didn't understand what I was feeling. And I've had times when spirits have come to for help and what they often do is show me their lives or in the case of one little boy, what he wanted protection against, by projecting images into my head (I'm telepathic) while I'm alseep.

Never 'seen' a ghost but have had many strange experiences!
Being a scientist I hate an unsolved event. I can explain most wierd experiences but there are just some that are IMPOSSIBLE to explain.
For example...how does a metal lid of a big spin dryer (3 feet diameter) slide closed when there is no-one on the room? That was my most interesting experience! Freaky!

I still can't understand how people still can doubt on the existance of the spirit. But hey...all the respect to all.
Yes I see things. I'd rather keep it to myself, as I know the world we live in today is not ready yet to take the next step into themselves. But i'm pretty sure that once, we will all do.

I saw something strange when i was in middle school,in daylight! I was walking up to the school gates,at the end of the school day,and i saw a young lady, dressed in 1940s clothing, dancing by and through the gates! She was oblivious to me walking up to her. As i got closer, she slowly became more and more transparent, till she completely vanished. It was strange, because i wasn't scared of the apparition.I never told my mum about it.
