I know in the cartoon they became vehicles to wage war but why in the movie 2007?

The Transformers become vehicles in the 2007 movie because they (The Autobots) are in disguise from their enemies, The Decepticons, in order to protect humankind.

in the cartoon they became vehicles to blend in with their environment. THAT'S WHY IT'S CALLED TRANSFORMERS, that was the whole idea. why would they need to become vehicles to wage war? they had huge laser cannons. have you even seen the cartoon?

they always became vehicles. but I agree with the first answer in promoting american vehicles. which reminds me, I am going to the Dodge dealership and test drive a charger.
