It all has to do with the social impact of perceived morality and ethics. Women are no longer subjected to corporal punishment for the very simple and exceedingly sexist reason that society looks upon itself as being more morally discerning than it is in actuality, and allows the theory that women are the weaker sex to swing sympathy in their favor. Try getting a conviction against a woman who has made a false accusation against a man (rape), assaulted a male, had sexual intercourse with a male against his will (asleep) and see how far you get.
"Birching" of males was still being carried out on the British 'Isle of Man' as late as the 1980's. Public beatings are still conducted in Africa, Asia and The Arabian sub continent. When Arab soldiers were forced to parade naked before Israeli women and were subsequently both verbally and physically abused by them where was the world wide condemnation? There was none.
Nothing is done about physical maltreatment of men because it detracts from the more important issues in life such as women getting equal pay, and the advancement of the feminist movement.

Wow, what a great question, but why not other questions like
why aren't women in the draft?
or
why don't women get along in the work place with other women?
or
why after all these equal treatment laws do women not make as much money as men?
Well here you go (music playing) don tidi dooooooooooooooon!
Because women are raised to be sensitive.
They are our mom's, our grandma's, our care givers and our pleasure centers.
Your asking for specifics in a general area, because women split the gender rolls right down the center. Although some of you want equal treatment you will more than likely never get it.
I wish you could just sign a waver saying that you regect your vagina's special rights and wish to be treated like everyone else, or man in this case. Corporal punishment although accepted in my fathers time which basically boiled down to boys getting the **** kicked out of them by the priciple is not accepted now. It didn't happen to girls mostly the reason that is not socially accepted, and there are way too many men around with daughters, and if anyone was to lay a hand on them it would be there own death warrent.
So girls, if you want to thank someone for you not being on the recieving end of a stick with holes drilled in it, you can thank your daddies.
I would also like to say that I'm not giving links to evidence on this one, because this is a stupid question. All women that can ask this question, and honestly say they don't know the answer is really just talking during the commercials.
Mahalo!

are you asking about corporal punishments in schools? If so, the majority of schools who still practice corporal punishment are in the south (specifically Mississippi) and generally this is limited to private schools.
I attended 2 different private schools in southern Mississippi for a couple years and both had the same policy regarding corporal punishment, from what i remember, corporal punishment was a "choice" by the parents, the parent had to sign a waver indicating that the school had the authority to inflict corporal punishment, and then when the student committed an offense that would deserve said punishment, the parent was contacted for approval. It was only then that the student would receive "lashings" which were administered by a faculty member of the same sex, generally with a paddle of some kind, with the student fully clothed (I know it sounds ridiculous that i had to add that last part, but alot of people think they make you drop your pants, they don't)
Lastly, in regards to your question neither school i attended discriminated against sex, discrimination wasn't possible as the final decision of whether or not to inflict punishment, ultimately came down to the parents choice, not the schools.
(Whew, thank goodness my mom was a "yank" so to her the idea of corporal punishment in school was absolutely absurd, so she never signed the waver, ha ha dodged that bullet, er i mean paddle, LMAO)

well, i don't have any evidence of any kind supporting my claim, but it's something of a fact that men are more likely to be enforced by corporal punishment because they can withstand physical punishment. but corporal punishment, i think, are still being done in some asian countries and women are not excempted. i think their punishment are more embarassing and sort of degrading. i once watched an asian movie, and girls in school are made to stand with arms outstretched wearing only their undies.

Where do you live? What do you mean by corporal punishment? Do you mean the death sentence? If so, please, use your search engine and research that. You will find data that seriously contradicts your premise.

Because GROWN WOMEN do not need anyone whipping their () if they do something that someone else thinks is wrong. Women have free will and can make decisions. We don't need to be trained or disciplined. We don't need negative and abusive behavior modification techniques to help us make sound choices. Plus, if you hit me then I hit back!
