secretarial job. Has anyone tried temp agencies in orange county ny or nyc. How good, and which one worked?

I have 9 years exp. in administrative assist. But have worked 15 yrs as a bus driver. Need to change careers. Will this hinder me. Any advice on some new careers with minimal schooling, any work at home jobs, that really work, not scams. In my 40's, child is now 21, cant drive long hours due to back injury from driving. I am artistic, do mosaics, not the greatest but pretty decent. Really am a fast learner, dedicate myself to doing the job right and on time. Please any advise for my midlife dilema? Thanks so much......
