I couldn't give a ________ about and am not intererested in the fossil fuel debate. I just want another bike on which to commute the cheapest way I can.

Thankfully no. The anount of energy used to make hybrid cars outweighs the fuel saving they make in use - plus there are standard cars that return better economy.

I dread the day that we get a two wheeled Prius and the sanctimonious, holier than thou, misguided brigade start crooning about them as if they are smug, self righteous know alls.

No But A Triumph Bonneville engine in a Norton Fetherbed frame is lots of fun

I'm not aware of one.

The additional weight of the electric motor, batteries and control system would probably make a hybrid motorcycle less efficient than a normal one.
