In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Hmmmm, that's a good question. How many times have you heard of an influencial person in history having claimed that he or she spoke with God. First of all, pray tell, what is the testing stone to tell if something is genuinely holy or not, and can an ordinary man really distinguish the two? When they have finally killed and maimed enough people then say it was all done in the name of a higher order, the higher order also includes the devils which hold greater power over us. I know this is gonna piss off the Islamics, but in many ways we should be ready to question the authenticity of our religious leaders / figures. Who Muhammad was talking to in that cave we will never know, and that is why it is no longer wise to trust prophets from the past. Muhammad did indeed have miracles, as he protected the fort from the onslaught of an army much greater than his own, but these are martial forces so what kind of powers would be likely to grant those? Today, the legacy of religious slaughter continues...

Everyone is inspired else they would be dead. For one thing it means "with breath", alive, some good thoughts some bad. Can anyone say they know the whole truth or just the outline? We only have a hint of the amount of truth within that outline. If we have to live on the definition of God we now have, for instance, we will self destruct. I see Christians with such a demonic spirit, eigthty or ninety percent on here. A few Atheist are definitely inspired. "The word kills, the spirit gives life." Those who have the word forgot the spirit. Eastern religions are more about spirit and less accuracy. We're more about cold dead logic. The problem with Islam is mixing politics and religion. The problem with "Christians" is mixing politics with religion. The harlot on the back of the wild beast governments. We're supposed to be fighting for hearts and minds. We'll suffer until we get if right., if we get it right. Who did Jesus vote for. God only. He said don't have any governments, that doesn't make Him an anarchist He just said it's the best thing when people learn to govern themsleves. Couldn't we vote for someone who pomises NOT to do anything, as a start. Works for me. No, "Christians" have defiled the name, dragged it through the mud with no let up in sight. They haven't been about their father's business or rather they have, guess it's judging when even Christ didn't dare do that. Michael said let God rebuke you and love your enemies. What a fake love, a la "Islam". They aren't even talking about religion, they don't know anything about it, philosophers don't know about philosophy, leaders can't lead, "scientists" say we don't know what truth is along with the philosophers who give you a p1 and p2. Thanks. I'll tell the terrorist, they'll be amazed at your brilliance. The next time someone says we don't know anything, remember they mean, you don't know anything so follow and adore me. Sense is feeling. Emotional Intelligence is said to be as important as IQ. Why aren't we as knowledgable about people and our problems as molecules? It's time for a reordering of priorities and everyone knows it. I want to hear the beef the Muslims have with us instead of propaganda, truish or not. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. We're adults. On the news we get all the fires. I know there's fires, there's fires everynight. I want to know why, how do you prevent accidents, how did we let the word get this bad if we're so good and what to do about it besides we have the bomb. Who doesn't know that and war. What's the rules for peace, negotiation isn't it information about the problem, which is the problem people and how they think, why and how to change minds, as we know all that now in the information age, they don't so give us the information we can work now we have the tools. We're obviously are going to have to do it ourselves as, equally obviously they are not going to get the long term solutions operating. Moderates around the world who are interested in more than arguing over words with no end, dogma. We need to engage the enemy in dialogue for agreement not disagreement. The law was made for man, not man for the law. All things are lawful, but all things are not profitable. Doing the same things and expecting different results. It's time for the ridiculous as 'sensible' doesn't work. We need another sensible.

No more than someone may believe that Moses was talking to the Devil on the mountain side when he received the Commandments. No more than some who believe that Jesus, Buddha and Muhammad are all the Sons of God, or, that they were so enlightened that they knew how to commune with God.
Just a quick note of history: Muhammad, after God told him that he would become Gods' Messenger to the World, never killed anyone. Prior to that moment he may have killed. Speaking of killing: it seems to me that God did a great deal of killing, either directly or thru others, in the Old Testament? Please, correct me if I am mistaken.
A person of God looks to the good in their lives. A person of Faith knows that there is good in their lives. Which are you?

A prophet who claimed to have received revelations from Gabriel had no witness at all. He simply claimed and also he did not do any miracles. It was Satan who talked to him or gave him the revelations. A God of moral perfection can never give such commandments/statutes or legal rules as mentioned in Koran. On the contrary, Jesus did all the miracles in public..Whatever Jesus talked, did and also his birth, life, work, death, resurrection all was in public and with many witnesses.

Maybe religion is all a big smoke and mirrors show, with no god, no devils, no miracles but a whole lot of man made hype.

Please study the KORAN first before making any judgements on ISLAM. Or atleast put an effort on finding the true ISLAM's teaching. What you see on TV is not how ISLAM works. I'm not muslim but I atleast have sense of respect for other cultures beliefs.
