I have just come out of a similar relationship and i know how hard it is. You need to get ur son and get out. Just because his parents have money don't mean that he will get custody! no way! the courts favour the mother for custody, money is a material possesion and they will not look at that. They consider the love of a mother is worth more than money, so that one is out of the window for him! if he does apply to court then he will have to fight for access, believe me i have just spent the last 2 yrs fightin my ex to stop him seein my little girl. if u need any more advice i am happy to talk to u, either email me or add me to yahoo messenger. You have to tell your family, even if it upsets them, you need them now, and no the courts won't give him custody because of money, you are the mother, you will likely get custody. Keep calling the police and have the violence documented so that you will be sure that you will get custody. Reach out to the church to see if they can help you with shelter or food or work or daycare while you get back on your feet.

Videotape one of his violent sessions, and that's your proof. Take THAT to the police, and get away from him as fast as possible. There is no way that a judge is going to EVER give custody to someone as abusive as he is no matter if his parents have money or not because his parents aren't the ones who are going to be taking care of the kid.

You are not stuck,You need to leave immediately, take your child and go to your families house and tell them whats going on., never put up with any kind of abuse, I dont care what the situation is. 95% of the time the courts will give the child to the mother, unless the mother is unfit.

You need to find a way to leave him as soon as possible, not just for yourself but for your baby. If he is a violent addict the courts will not give him custody. See if there is a women's shelter or a church that can help you.

really? well if you allow this guy, this drug user even though you have a child with him.. you let him be like this? where is your self respect? GET OUT GET OUT GET OUT!!! Did he leave marks? write it down and put it in a very safe place.. If you choose to stay with him you need to document everything. I say shame on you for the position you put your child in. You are a mother... You should really know better.. Who do his parents side for? Talk to them maybe... just get help before things get worse.. and you know this too...

You are not stuck unless you choose to be. Ask your family for help. Upsetting them is better than waiting for them to bury you .
Yes, I have an idea. Get away from this guy NOW and stay away.

take your son, take only what you need for you and him and go to a shelter for abused women. now he tries it with you, what would happen if he tries it with your son.
what is important: money and happy parents or safety of your and your sons life.
no judge will leave a baby with a drug-addict and an abuser!!!

Maybe you need to get him on tape so that others can see him in action.
Get a drug bust set up on him and his money will mean nothing.
Get smart or you may get dead.
