I hate hearing about child abuse. How do you all feel about the victims of abuse having the right to sue the parents for child abuse? Children have rights to...to live their lives to the fullest and I feel that if the yrs of abuse have left them with mental scar which interferes with their life they should be given the right to sue the parents.

They probably can when older, however most wont!

1,200 children a year are murdered by their parents!

But children do not have any rights! There only rights are negative ones. In other words, a parent has to abuse or neglect them , or fail to send them to school!

I was involved in a law suit in Florida, hired by a law firm to testify against HRS in Broward County. It was a shaken baby case where the parents were mentally ill, but HRS did nothing until the kid was in a coma! Now he can't walk, essentially is blind and deaf! HRS lost $12 Million dollars! they were sued by the child's guardian, The first suit, against Broward County Hospital and several Md's was settled out of court! The first time the child came in with lethargy and hemorrhages (classic SBS)in his eyes, they diagnosed it as a milk allergy!

Hello, a million) Roman Catholics don't seem to be requested to tithe; simply supply what you'll be able to. two) Each church and diocese works as an person entity so dwelling right here in Alberta, Canada, not one of the cash I supply is going to settle those court cases within the states. Furthermore in Canada, monetary awards in court cases don't seem to be wherever as top as within the states. three) From I authorized viewpoint I consider it was once crass stupidity to settle those claims and do the payouts. Though many reports have been real, the clergymen will have to had been became over instantly for prosecution. This different resolution simply opened a coins cow and I'll guess there can also be countless fake claims as good. Cheers, Michael Kelly

I believe the state, in the name of their ward...the children , have the right to sue, and punished or both the parents or guardians of those children and have the responsibility of getting those children out of their situation without delay.....however not always is the situation clear or even 100 percent accurate or true...so that is where children's fate is borderline and sometimes tragic....It isn't easy for a social worker to come to a conclusion as to the real situation of the child....
