Yes, it was a right decision to drop Munaf simply because he has not been fit enough for a long period of time. He gets injured here and there and is available to play only a handful of matches. He is turning out to be another Ashish Nehra who was very talented but injury-prone. So, it is in the best interests of both Munaf as well as Indian cricket that he spends time off the field and works on his fitness at the National Cricket Academy. Once he is passed fit and has the right attitude to be fit on a consistent basis, he should be selected to the Indian team.

Munaf Patel has been dropped due to fitness problem and not for any other reason. He is injury prone player and has been out of team due to injury on many occasions in the recent past.

No it was not right to drop Munaf Patel. It would have been very right to drop Dravid Tendulkar and Ganguly. These guys are spoiling India's chances of trying to rebuild a new young team.

Munaf is not 100% fit now. So it is good to avoid overloading him. Munaf has great potential to become one of the best Indian fast bowlers.

So he has to be use carefully to perform for long time.

Earlier Indian team had selected him inspite of an injury after getting clearance from the team physio. He was selected in the match however he hardly bowled in it which effected the Indian team. This time around they dont want to take that risk. Munaf in the past had history of injuries. So I guess he has to prove himself fit to get into the team again.

It's wrong to say that Munaf Patel has been dropped; rather he has been sidelined due to fitness problems.

NO. Munaf should not be dropped. He is consistent, has a great control over his line and length.I think he should be dropped because of his injury, otherwise it is not at all fair

I am not in the panel of selectors and hence I cannot officially give any ideas on this.

Any player dropped means his performance may be bad or maybe having some fitness problems.

However, I cannot decide on this subject officially.
