Many pople believe that our government knows something about UFOs and alien beings that they are keeping secret. But what if the truth really is that they know NOTHING about UFOs/aliens? What could the govt. say or do to convince UFO buffs that there is no coverup at all?
If the president says there is no coverup, he will be accused of lying. If the military opens up Area 51 to the public, people will say they moved the UFOs somewhere else. Is there anything that would convince believers that there are no aliens here on Earth (assume that is the truth)?

America and all the Western countries have had UFO enquiry teams over the years. They have said they did not exist and then admitted it years later. That is still going on today.
The old UK Chief of the Defence Staff wrote after he retired that when it came to UFOs he was absolutely sure he had been comprehensibly lied to by his staff!!!!!!!
Freedom of information keeps throwing up documents that still have large parts heavily scored out. So it is very evident that something is being hidden.
Whether you believe in UFOs or not the direct evidence is that the governments of a number of Western countries are lying. So people rightly question just what is being covered up?

I believe aliens to this planet have been here at least since Biblical times and probably before. I will never be convinced otherwise and yes I do think the government knows this as well as other world governments do. The proof as far as I'm concerned is there to see in writings and drawings of old and some people just don't want to see it. If you believe in God, and Jesus, do you have to physically see them to be a believer? That is an example of what I'm saying. Just because a UFO didn't land on your patio, doesn't mean theres no such thing. It is quite narrow minded to believe we are THE so called advanced culture in this whole vast universe, and just because some scientist can't figure out universal laws of travel, doesn't make it not so.

I really don't think the government could convince the UFO buffs that they know nothing about UFO's. The government hasn't had a very good track record with telling the truth.

Nope there is nothing that can make believers think otherwise.. Its one of the best conspiracies of our time! We want to believe that there are other beings from another galaxy..
So the government can just forget about coming clean and opening area 51 for us.. We wont believe YOU! Even if you show us the aliens.. the non believers will say that its a made up fake puppet!
So... i don't think there will be an end to this issue.. Unless they come to earth and take over our planet~

and, its pretty obvious theyre hiding SOMETHING if not aliens,
why the hell would they make area51 so secretive and such.

No matter what happens, especially in this day and age there will ALWAYS be conspiracies about anything. No matter what side you pick, conspiracy this, conspiracy that and that's how until Microsoft takes over the internet and following that the world it will always be. You convince some, you lose others. I doubt it would ever happen you convince more than 35% of the entire population about any subject concerning government.

One can never convince conspiracy theory buffs that their pet beliefs are nonsense. They are oriented toward sensations and feelings, that are irrational, so logical evidence means nothing to them. One just as well speak Chinese to American conspiracy theory lovers.
