Usually I will walk away - I dislike confrontations. If the person is persistent enough, however, I will speak to him/her in the same manner in which he/she spoke to me--I do try to avoid this.

If you're a waitress and this happens, "kill him or her with kindness". ;) This way the person can't cut your tip and then the person would probably make a scene if he or she acts rudely to you. I would guess anyhow, and I know two people that worked as a waitress and in charge of a salon that find this as a solution.

I would ignore them and walk away. If they keep being rude to me, I would slap them.

I stand and stare for a second. I have the advantage, 'coz they've already shown THEIR _ss, and I try to say something deliberate and effective to disarm them, and not have to show mine.

i am just ask em to SHUT UP and walk away. if its a hot girl, i will just get up and hug her tightly kiss her and realease all my stress....
