Because I asked a question earlier about virtual memory and on alot of the question I saw " Ram blah blah blah Ram blah blah Ram blah blah blah Ram..................."
Im tired of hearing about ram and not knowing what it is!!!!!!

RAM = Random Access Memory
it is the thing programs are loaded into when you run them. The more u have of it, the better. Virtual memory is when u allocate some free space on your hard drive to act as swap file for the RAM, virtually increasing the RAM. right now i have 1GB of RAM on my computer at home, and an additional 9 GB of virtual memory, and my windows XP couldn't run smoother

RAM stands for Random Access Memory. It is the memory that your computer uses to hold items from the computations it is running at any given time. If you were to compare it to your own memory, It is the short term memory so to speak.

RAM is random access memory.
ROM is read only memory.
In order for your computer to know how to load and run itself ROM is permanently written data on your computer's hard drive (it never changes).
RAM is temporary memory. When your hard drive runs its operating system (like windows) it uses some RAM. When you open tetris it uses some more RAM memory. When you close tetris RAM space is freed up. When is turn off your computer all ram is cleared (that unsaved MSword doc dies).
Your operating system has parameters for you to adjust for controlling your RAM priorities (you can't run too many things at once) if you do they will run slowly as your computer tries to manage them all... It will run the most critical onces first.
Buying more RAM will allow your programs to run quicker and will allow you to run more simultaneously.

i think u shouldn't be so rude to him because he is a god and that's like mocking him u might get punished by the god& there is an other meaning 4 ram ram is on ur comp and it is the thing that makes ur comp fast 4 example if u put to much memory on it ur comp will go slow
