They are both great players and not sissies. So WHY are they called sissies?

Timmy whines about every call with that eye popping expression.

Dirky is PF but plays a finesse game, and doesn't have the strength to outmuscle smaller players.

I don't think Dirk or Tim is a sissy. That's just plain foolish. Dirk had one off night and went from MVP to choke artist in the eyes of the fair weather fans. That's bull.
And Tim Duncan is one of the best power forwards ever to play the game. Anybody who calls him a sissy is an idiot who deserves only to be ignored.

dirk nowitzki and tim duncan- sissys? what the heck! i'm not a fan of nowitzki, but one thing i can and have to say, because it's purely the truth- is that he is NOT a sissy. both are very talented playing forward/center. they're not afraid to take the ball to the rack no matter who's in the middle. shaq or kobe. they don't care. they'll do whatever it takes to win the game even if it means diving for balls and running to intentionally commit a foul at the end of the game. they play to win and will do anything they can to do so.

i dont care what you say about dirk, yes i am a true fan of dirk and the mavs! sissy? you are sissy!!!

for those people saying that he didnt deserve to be the mvp because its the lowest of his career stats.well you better ask the NBA why they dont give him the MVP years ago, it should be dirk not nash wo won the award back to back. he's just so overatted as well as his team. they only play allstar kind of game. which most of the sissy knows that kind of basketball.

in part of tim, he's a good player even if he moves a little slower. hehehe, i think that tim and dirk are the most underrated players, people just dont see the reality of what impact they made in NBA. they only see players who dunks and score a lot. but the truth is thats not rael basketball.

i think the sissy one's are the one who answers this question and dont know anything!!!!

Tim is no sissy, he led San Antonio time and again to the crown. Sissy is a man who declared himself King but couldn't find his crown, it's as if he vanished out of sight in an instant. With Dirk and Tim, I'd go with Dirk as the biggest sissy of all due to the same reason stated above: he vanished out of sight in an instant.

Tim Duncan is the bigger sissy he never goes to dunk it because he is afraid and Dirk is not a sissy he is a cry baby. Who saw him last year in the NBA finals when they lost Game 6. Pretty histerical huh?

I'm a Suns fan, and would like nothing mroe than to bad mouth the Spurs, but Duncan is no sissy. Dirk is though. He can't handle pressure nad he is just too awkward. He got his 2nd place MVP trophy, which he only got because they don't like giving it to the same guy 3 years in a row, and then showed what he realy is: a choke.

Look at 2006-2007 regular season where Steve Nash had a career year and probably deserved a third straight MVP.

Duncan shot 4% better from the floor than did Dirk.

Nash shot 3% better from the floor than did Dirk.

Dirk this past year had one of his worst years ever as a 8 year NBA starter in 9 years in the NBA.

As a starter, Dirk had career NBA lows in:

-blocks, fewest ever in 2006-07 for Dirk as a starter
-steals, fewest ever in 2006-07 for Dirk as a starter
-3 point shots made (Dirk only made 72 three pointers all regular season), fewest ever in 2006-07 for Dirk as a starter
-6th lowest of 8 seasons in rebounding as a starter
-7th lowest of 8 seasons in defensive rebounding
-committed a near career high in personal fouls
-Dirk's lowest scoring average in the last three years
-Dirk's second lowest scoring average in his last five years

Meanwhile, Steve Nash had a career year in with career highs in FG%, three point FG%, shot about 90% from the free throw line, most personal three pointers made, personal career high in assists, and personal career high in points per game, yet this was not enough to get Nash his third straight MVP award.

Dirk had almost a career low year as a starter while Steve Nash had a career personal best season easily outshooting Dirk from the field and the three point line as far as percentage and particularly as far as three pointers made.

Dirk will take his MVP trophy home to Germany and had it in his closet knowing that he did not earn it in the 2006-2007 regular season.
