Let's face it, the whole team is getting pretty old and this past season, players had to be benched fot being fat, Pat Riley left for "Hip Surgery"and Shaq and Wade got injured.
But getting swept by a younger Bulls team solidifies some thing and is what Shaq called "Embarrassing"

So with that at hand,
Should they keep the team as is, working with thier roster as is or should they get a makeover for the sake of DWade and (maybe) Shaq?

Will give it a while, Dwayne Wade still isnt in his "prime" (I would say maybe 27- 32), still a lot more to come, I know that will be Shaq's last championship, unless he moves to a title contender like most oldies want to do(grant hill wanting to go to Spurs).
I say sell out Shaq and Alonzo, get some fresh youngies.

It matters a lot on whether Shaq still has game. He seems to be extremely inconsistent right now (like he doens't practice his skills anymore or something). But, DWade is one of the very best players in the league that can push this team to the finals as long as they have a decent roster that can shoot reasonably and make semi-contested layups.

Unless Miami gets another very good young scorer before Shaq retires I don't see them winning another title. All the teams in the Eastern Conference are so much younger and more athletic than the Heat that it will be impossible for Miami to defeat uptempo teams like the Bulls.

they are suffering because of the fact their stars are of their 30s (which skill they should not be taking part in heavy minutes), and that they don't have adequate intensity (which skill they are going to be taking part in heavy minutes or they'll war). In the two case, it would not make their modern rotation sustainable long-term. whilst Tony Allen recovers from harm and Rondo gets out of his droop the a number of weight will come off the super 3. they'll nevertheless pick a much better bench to handle this concern, however. Like, say, including Marbury.

Couldn't agree with you much better. This team is old... With a Payton, O'Neal, Mourning, Walker, Jones and the likes. They look old, played stinkin' old. But I don't think they would be one hit wonders with the continuing development of Wade (especially if the healing process of his injury turns out good) and the continous genius of Riley (even if he decide not to coach but guide them as president) I think there tend to be chances to repeat the magic they had in 2006.

Miami will never win a title as is, which is the only reason to put out a contender. If you cannot win the title, you should try again with new pieces. Build around Dwayne Wade, but do so with new parts.

So what if they are one-hit wonders? They still won a championship trophy, something a lot of great players never got (Barkley, Ewing, Malone, Miller, Stockton, etc).

Pat Riley is one of the best, he knew how to assemble a winning squad (though it took time), he'll definitely know what to do.

He might surprise us again.

They are definitely done with this lineup, but Wade could repeat with a different roster 4-5 years down the road.

Right now they should try and get more better players that are not old. Right now they are trying to get several guys like Gerald Wallace, Grant Hill, Mike Bibby, Ron Artest, Corey Maggette, and Mo Williams.

i dont think the Heat should change their team. they have alot of veterans on their team as well as players that have bright futures ahead of them such as D-WADE, Dorell Wright, etc.
