who will eat will eat them fresh staight out of the pod instead of putting them in the pot and cooking them.
I'm a 75% raw man myself.

Hey Murray. I remember when I was younger I use to shell peas for my Grandparents when we had dinner there. I use to eat most of them! Then chew on the shells. I do like them cooked too. Peas are such weird veges! I hope you're enjoying our latest dumping of snow!!
P.S. Can you grow snow peas at this time of year? (Hence the name.)

When I was young we had a garden. My sis and I would eat the peas right out of the pod raw. We wouldn't even snap the pods, We'd just bite them open and if we ate some pod, it didn't matter to us.
They were sweet peas and today, when I eat Snow Pea pods, they remind me an awful lot of being a kid in the garden again.
Parents weren't too pleased when we did this, but we also did the same with radishes.
Think us kids liked them since they were sweeter when raw.

You taste test them pod by pod and if you have none left to cook the you get some frozen ones out.
what else can you do if they are fresh, picked on the day
