Ive been getting a lot of problems with no clear soulution lately and decided the best thing to would be to reinstall windows xp. The thing that irks me is that i have a duel boot setup with vista. Will that be affected?

If you use the R repair option at the second prompt screen you can re-install a repair which replaces all the files back to original. This should not affect the Vista install or the dual boot.

No problems, Each partition works individually. Just run the setup and make sure you format your existing XP partition and then install windows xp on the newly formated partition.

By the way, on the 4th stage of windows xp setup, it shows which partitions are detected and what OS is loaded on each.

As long as you just reformat and reinstall on the partition that has XP your vanilla.
