most of the time i try to be as open as possible, but there are times when i feel things are better left untold....how about you?

My parents are very traditional because both immigrated from Shanghai. I was born in San Francisco so obviously, both my sister and I cannot discuss things that we would normally discuss with our peers to our parents. My mother's way of thinking is quite traditional and my father is even more than my mother. But if I need to talk to someone I always have a friend to call.
There's always a generation gap as well as a cultural one because they grew in a country where Communism existed.
So obviously its hard to talk about certain things with them.

Depending on the person, family or friend. I can be very open and honest. But that can go the other way as well with, some family and friends, some of them I trust more than others, that's just a reflection of my relationships with them!
They know if they are close to me or not, but I treat them as they treat me. It goes hand and hand with this sort of question.

Pretty open with my mom (compared to other mother/daughter relationships) NOT AT ALL with my dad... and most other relatives.. Pretty open with my two best friends, not sure about other friends

I'm pretty open, but..for certain things, I don't feel comfortable discussing them with either friends or family.

Not very open...i keep a lot of things to myself,especially my feelings.i'm not the sort of person that's very open about their feelings.

my hubby knows all about me, all of the extended family and friends know the common stuff and the usual happenings and not much more unless it is needed to know (like a bad illness or something like that)

i am mostly open with all my friend but when they do something that makes me really mad all of my thoughts come out and thats when they get mad at me because of what they have done to me to make me be like that
