Yes, it would and if we don't stop it it will become just another Mexico, I know that much.

The legal immigrants would still do the jobs and also the pay would be a lot better and I am sure americans would do the job whether they liked it or not.

In the unlikely event that all illegal immigrants were expelled from the country, America would survive and thrive. Because we are America. That is what we do. If something tears it down, we band together and build it back. But there will never be a deportation of illegal immigrants. I can't say I am happy about it. We have many legal immigrants in this country that worked hard to obtain their citizenship. Many even served our country during wartime to earn American citizen status. Now is it fair to now offer complete amnesty and give those same rights to people who illegally entered into this country? That just doesn't seem right. And what about legal documentation. The whole purpose of Ellis Island and other entry points were so that immigrants could be documented to prevent wanted felons from entering the country and to know who was here. I believe that is information that we should know. How do we prevent a series of terrorists attacks throughout the country as they recently did in the UK if we don't stop the flow of terrorists that can illegally enter the US with ease? Shouldn't Homeland Security come first? While we are fighting terrorists in the Middle East, we are allowing our own borders to be invaded. The question should be: How can America not crash with the sudden introduction of 15-20 million new citizens at one time?

I'm an American and I'm not lazy. That said, immigrants are an essential part of our society that we could not possibly live without(only native Americans are not immigrants). Illegal immigration is a different story though.

I'm sure you mean illegal immigrants, not all immigrants. Most of us are immigrants somewhere down the road. And yes, we could get along just fine without the illegal ones.

i totally agree...in hawaii about more than half the population are micronesian, philipino, and other asian immigrants and almost all of those immigrants take the jobs like janitors and construction and like that kinda stuff. probablly no one else would if they didnt. Its totally true...they do so much for the country and america would suck if it werent for them
