How would I go about doing this?

No chance, from DVD not possible from PC it is possible

It depends on a lot of factors. What kind of DVD is this? Is it a commercial DVD (with copy protection?) This is both quite difficult to crack, for a novice, and against Youtube's TOS, so you could just stop right there.

But with a homemade DVD, things get a little easier. What you'd need to do is copy the "Video_TS" folder to your computer, then use some sort of transcoder to put it in a file type that Youtube recognizes. I think Youtube prefers...MP4?

I've been looking into this further, and have found a tool that may do the job for you. I'm linking to it below. It's called Handbrake. It allows you to rip a dvd to a couple of different, Youtube compatible formats fairly easily. Check that out.

you need to rip the video file onto your comp, make sure it is under 10 minutes and less than 100mb and in a format recognizable by youtube. otherwise, you'll have to convert it.
