Female Dwarf Platy with Gravid Spot for a long time , Is she pregnant?

I bought a female orange dwarf platy over 3 weeks ago. When I bought her she already had a gravis spot & a big belly. Is that just the way those fish are or is she pregnant?

I haven't seen any of her fry. She is in a tank by herself now (has been for almost 2 weeks) and she may seem a little bigger but not much and definitely not smaller than when I bought her. And the gravid mark is still the same as when I bought her. She seems to have small opening near the gravid mark. Is that normal?

Livebearers can be pregnant for up to 6 months, and have fry about every 28 days, I think she is pregnant, maybe she had already fry and you haven't seen any
If you have a planted tank it takes sometimes up to 4 days before you see any fry because they hide in there
Dwarf platy fry are very very tiny and hard to see

My platys seem to be perpetually pregnant too.
I think the gestation is about 4 weeks and they appear pregnant fairly quickly.

If you have a male platy, she will probably stay pregnant. Mine seem to be pregnant for weeks upon weeks, then one day they are not and 2 days later they are again. Either they are having the babies and they dont survive, or the females are aborting the pregnancies, which Ive read is common.

From what Ive been told, the way to tell if a platy is pregnant is A) Is there a male around? B) is she a female? C) is she a platy? if all are yes, then, yeah, she's pregnant ;)

kick back guy kick back you have been like she grew right into a potato shes in simple terms abit extra advantageous and theres no reason to place ina breeding pox andifyou do in ordinary terms the female no longer the male and he or she will supply start in a million or 2 days and fry could be sexedafter 4 months so all of them look women.

just the way they are
