I am dating/hanging out with a man going thru a divorce. I am trying to be a friend to him and just hang out. I am in the waiting game. I know I should go out with other men, but I finally found a NICE GUY... and I don't want to let this one get away. I know once the divorce process is over... it will get better, but in the mean time... I miss him! I just want to spend more and more time with him. And I can't... ugh

He keeps telling me how great I have been thru this whole thing and in a long conversation this week, he even was brought to tears with our convo... and said "how did I get so lucky to have you in my life?" It is because I am keeping my feelings back from him and being the best friend I can be in the meantime. Everyone has told me that it take a year from a divorce to get over or thru it. But I think this guy is worth the wait.

what to do>>>???

Hi Mitch, I know its hard, but hang back a bit. Never ever act needy in any way, this is very important, but be yourself.

It sounds like he does want you in his life, and he values you. So, he sounds like a gem, but he needs his space to move on too, you don't want to be the rebound woman.

Make sure you hang with other friends so you have balance in your life too:) ..and a few viewings of "When Harry Met Sally" might help.

I wish you all the best, I know what it is like to have feelings for someone who isn't available, so to speak.

Good things come to those who wait as the saying goes.

Because a few ladies make it handy. If a man is attempting to get virtually you with out first verbalizing his intentions then that is your fault. Put up a quit signal and make him voice his intentions. You ladies rather make it too handy frequently.
