Question for real men: Could you say that the one thing that you desire most from a woman is...?

total respect.

That when you talk to her,she listens and responds to you in a respectful way? That when you need from her,she gives to you what like? That when she is upset,she doesn't talk to you like a brat? I'm not saying that she would be a stiffled, no-thoughts-of her own, overtly submissive bore. I'm just saying that she wouldn't try to correct you in public, or talk to you in a demeaning way.

I see men put up with women like this, and totally kiss her feet. Am I wrong for believing men want respect?

I like how you added that she shouldn't act as if she has no thoughts of her own, etc, that's very true.

Ladies, accept the fact that we're allowed to have opinions that aren't going to match yours. Don't question us to death because you don't understand our different opinion. Accept it and move on.

Guys, treat your wived well and give the respect she deserves, but don't be a fool and loose your right to your own opinion for the sake of "making her happy" at the time.
If you do, in the long run she'll realize she married a wimp.
Some guys are thinking that if I do that she's going to stop giving me "pleasure" if you know what I mean. If you're that guy with that thought, you are already too far gone. You have reached wimp status already.

I think you are correct, everyone wants respect from the person they are with, respect is that beam that holds all relationships together, be friends, family or otherwise. However together with respect I would say loyalty and honesty. I find that women play games all the time and then don't understand why they can't have a good man. I am single and choose to be simply because I am a gentleman and want to be with a lady, I know what I want and won't settle.
Women to have sex with are always there but nothing worth keeping.
Unfortunately this is the world we live in today.

I think all people want respect.
I think some of the men you see probably have a family and feel trapped, That's why they take that crap..But then again there are wimps who like that kind of thing.
One woman answered that all men want is sex.
That may be true in our teens and most of are twenties, but eventually we do realize that there is more to a woman then whats in her pants. And trust me we reach a point where The ***** factor far out weighs the sex factor.

It is true, men; and indeed all mankind, irrespective of age or status, want to be treated with alot of respect.

What is important is to try to understand what you man expects from you, as what I would expect from my love may be different from yours. This takes alot of patience but it is the only way. People will normally to know and respect one another's values after they stay together long enough to know one another.

Once i met a friend who was getting married and he told me he loves his wife to be so much that he has been wondering whether he will be a good husband to her. He then told me for him to succeed, he thinks he will try (himself) to be a good wife so that he may be able to understand her expectations.

Likewise,it is important to put yourself into your man's shoes, so that you may have an insight of what you would expect from your lady love.

All in all, try also to be yourself, and to love him the way you would expect him to love you.

Men tend to shy away from ladies who try to be what they are not.

I would have to say that you are correct. I just want my wife's trust, friendship, and respect, and I'm grateful I have it.

And contrary to others' opinions, guys don't just want to get into a girl's pants. Guys who only want that and girls who think that all guys are like that are immature and arrogant.
