I use it occasionally. I haven't noticed a problem with it signing out. I like the fact that you can talk with Yahoo Messenger people on it.

Check your firewall settings. Depending on which one you're using, you may have to add messenger as a "trusted" application to access the internet. For example, in ZoneAlarm if you open the main control window and click on the "Program Control" tab, you should get a list of software applications and settings that you can change.

Otherwise, if you're using a wireless or dial up connection, you could be losing service periodically. There are free software apps that you can run to watch your internet connection while you work and give a report of what occurred when the problem happened. For example:

It can be lot's of factor

1. you have a bad internet connection.

2. if you have dial-up connection and use other download program (it don't help)

3. (i'm pretty sure it's this one) your msn is had not been install correctly.

- Uninstall it
- redownlod it
- install it

Give it a try,

it can also be a windows xp problem that maybe need to be clean up. or spyware. A LOT of thing can be count.

Good Luck!

mine does that too and it is because i have a dsl connection that skips out a bit sometimes.
if you have dsl then thats probably the problem. i dont think theres much you can do about it though. sometimes i right click the little computer screen in the bottom right hand corner of my screen and click "repair" and that helps the connection. if u dont have dsl than i am no help at all and i apologize greatly for that. lol
hoep u work it out
