Do you think something would hurt more if you expected it or if you didn't expect it ?

Huh...I actually think that sometimes things hurt more when you expect it...like when you get a shot from the doctor, or they poke your finger for a little blood. My daughter gets all worked up and it hurts her, but if something pokes her unexpectedly, she just yells "Ow, dangit!" and that's it!

if you expect it you sort of brace yourself for it as much as possible to minimize its affects...if you dont expect it...it kicks your *** and leaves you feeling like you were hit by a truck.. I assume your talking emotional pain not physical in which case...I prefer physical pain that I get over eventually...unexpected physical pain is preferrable to expected pain as well cause when i think about something going to hurt and try and prepare myself for it...I blow it up into some huge thing in my mind and it "starts hurting" way before the actual event takes place...ido it every time.

It would hurt more if I didn't expect it, it will come as a shock and yes, my tears are from that few hours ago. Silly me.

I think the unexpected hurts worse. Cause you aren't expecting it. It's like BOOM

I think if I didn't expect it coz if I am waiting for it to happen I have time to prepare myself! Yay! Smiles!

if u didn't expect it bcuz it would be more surprising.....if u expect it then that means that u know and wouldn't hurt as much if u didn't.

unexpected, but it would still hurt if expected, just you can prepare yourself.
