Actually, I do not think the US has, in fact, officially condemned Israel's security fence (only a wall in a few places)

As to the Berlin Wall, the purpose of it was to help keep the population of East Berlin from escaping that "communist paradise" (sic) into the free West. In Israel's case, it is to prevent people from coming IN except through controlled checkpoints for the explicit purpose of reducing suicide bombings. Now, you may argue on its effectiveness, but you cannot deny that its goal is necessary.

As to the US' border, the US, as a sovereign nation, has the right to do whatever they want along their border.
As to its effectiveness, I think their money would be better spent on enforcing the law and thus encouraging people to immigrate legally.

We obviously need more than a wall on the border; like we need a better wall and real armed forces and to warn Mexico that we will shoot to kill anyone crossing that border, as we will protect and serve our country against any further attacks on our persons and property.

Illegal is illegal and all perpetrators are suspected terrorists.

the berlin wall was a complete failure so i am guessing we will not build a Mexican Wall because of failed attempts to keep people confined and restricted to certain areas. That would be terrible to do to those people who are just trying to make a better life for themselves in a place that allows them to be free and enjoy life.

You don't understand the difference?

The Berlin Wall was to keep people in.

The Israeli wall we didn't condemn. We were of mixed feelings about it, but it is their choice, not ours.

The Border Wall is to prevent people from skipping the checks for felony records, serious contagious diseases, no job skills, and no knowledge of our government.

Why would we want such people to come into our country freely? We have no quotas. All the people who want to come into this country and submit to those checks CAN!

There were two German nations created out of one.

There was originally one area that is now Israel and the Palestinian territory,

Last time I read my history book West Germans weren't trying to jump over the wall and live illegally in EAST Germany.

The Berlin wall was built to keep the people from leaving. The wall in Israel is to keep suicide bombers out. The wall we need along Mexico built is to keep the people who do not want to follow our laws from getting in. There are many border crossing roads people use to get in and out of Mexico legally. Your comparisons are not real . There is plenty of free access to both countries , as long as you chose to obey the laws to use them.

I see a beautiful wall the eighth wonder of the world, for the simple reason of having control of it.

The other walls are meant to keep people in. The one on the border is meant to keep people out.

Hope that helps.

Because we are trying to protect ourselves from invaders. The Constitution point blanks states that it is RIGHT and JUST to protect ourselves.

Citizens are losing their IDs to Illegal aliens, the illegal aliens also have rung up unpaid hospital bills to the point that the hospitals declare bankruptcy...Schools are too busy trying to teach English than actually teaching students. Gangs and drug violence also follows illegal aliens. SOMETHING needs to be done. PERIOD!

Because we want one, thats why. Worked for the Russians for over 50 years, hell I'd be happy if our wall worked well for one
