Here's one from my foolish days of youth.

I went over to my best friend's house, and started drinking right away. I hadn't had anything to eat all day long, and before long I crashed in this big comfy armchair her roomie had. I woke up around midnight, and everyone was naked, except for one girl who still had on one sock. They asked me if I wanted to be dealt in on the next hand, but I just shook my head and went back to sleep.

I woke up again just after 5:00 a.m, and my best friend had tucked a blanket around me and put a pillow under my head. She'd also left me a note--she had hidden my car keys, and there was a fairly complex word puzzle on the note--she said she knew that if I could solve it, I was sober enough to drive home. I solved the puzzle, got my keys (in a zip bag in the tank behind the toilet), and drove myself home.

So, you know it's a good party when you A) wake up and are the only person in the house with your clothes on, B) have to solve a tricky puzzle to get your car keys back, and C) laugh about it 20 years later ;)
