I seem to like. Yeah I have heard a lot of stories of some of the bad things about he did but it seems to me that he did a bunch of great things to New York that I think America needs now. What do you think?

Rudy as corrupt as any republicans? Most of the politicians are corrupt, party doesn't matter. You are red, blue, green black, yellow, democrat, republican, communist... it doesn't matter they are all dancing under the same tune.
Now about Rudy... in the news clip they called him something like heartless and too hard coz he goes after these people? But WTF? what do you call these politicians that LIE to us and send American citizens to a slow roasting death in Iraq and for what? just to steal our money so they could fund the military-industrial complex that they are in bed with.
I am sick and tired of all the god damn lies, and to tell you the truth, I've lost complete faith in politicians and their agenda, doesn't matter who they are, democrat, republican, green, independent, I just want at least once, just once, have decent people that actually want to help the nation and its people get elected, or at least someone who will be practical and strong enough to fix up this whole mess.
I don't know exactly if Rudy is the right choice, coz he might still be influenced by the businesses, but then again, so is everyone, I know that he sure as hell was practical in NYC, even though not everyone might have agreed with him on it. Also to disqualify him just because of his record twenty years ago is not very smart either... people grow, they learn... hopefully... So I don't know if he might be the right choice, but then again none of these idiots are right, politics is just a charade, whether it's Hillary appealing to the female voters, or Obama coming in as the fresh new face, or Rudy as the savior of NYC... It's sickening, for once, I just want a rational human being running the country, *sigh* "but we already had one Christ, and we crucified him over two thousand years ago."

I think it is still too early to pick any of the candidates from either party. I have not heard them all speak on how they want to help run our country. By the end of the year I am going to chose one Republican and one Democrat. I will then follow each and decide in Nov. 2008 on which I feel will be the best President for me.

On 9/11 a lot more people died than otherwise would have because in his prior 8 years as Mayor he refused to update the communications equipment even though he was asked to do that by both the NYPD and the FDNY - EVERY YEAR.

He made himself look good on TV on 9/11 but that's all he did and he's fooled a lot of people because of it.

No, the White House would be nothing more than a soap opera with Rudy, his wife, and all of his mistresses.

Yes.

He is good at managing people, and he is good at getting things accomplished. New York before Rudy was dirtier with more crime. Rudy was pragmatic and used tactics that actually worked to clean it up. That puts him on the list for practical people.

He'd be better than what we're stuck with now. Maybe. A little. But as a divorced Catholic, he has a tough climb ahead of him. And as a Republican, he has a nearly insurmountable task ahead of him.
