You should be prepared... This is a HOT topic and many responses you will get will border on rudeness. I will give you my personal op pinion, but I would still advise you to do your own research on the candidates.

I have chosen to support Barack Obama, and here is one major reason why. He is not taking money from the special interest groups! I don't know if you understand what special interest groups are so I will give you my take. They give large amounts of money to a candidate and later the candidate if he was elected to office, will pay them back in the way of special favors. These special favors are often not in the best interest of the American people and only help the organization who donated the money.

The Barack Obama campaign is doing something unheard of in politics. He is counting on the people to contribute, and rejecting the money of the special interest groups. This means that if he becomes president, he will not be a puppet to the big oil companies, pharmaceutical companies and the like. The only boss he will have, and the only debt he will owe will be to the American people.

Read on for a further illustration of this point:

I am not sure how many other people noticed something that happened during the 2004 Bush campaign. The topic was cheaper drugs being exported from Canada to the U.S. They were the same drugs, but at much cheaper cost. This was great for those of low income, but bad for the pharmaceutical companies, who would loose billions of dollars if the cheap drugs from Canada were not stopped. Senator Kerry was in favor of the cheap imports of drugs from Canada, saying it would help Americas poor, because sometimes the low income people have to choose between the medicine they need and putting food on the table. A terrible choice to have to make. Bush on the other hand tried to give some doubt and said that the Canadian drug imports may not be safe, therefore he would want to stop, or at least slow, the cheap drug imports.

To make a long story shorter, after the dust settled around the closeness of the votes and Bush was finally sure of taking office again after the elections, the stock prices of the pharmaceuticals jumped quite a bit (I forget how much). A sigh of relief for the pharmaceutical companies, there billions saved. In other words... SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP REPAID.

This is only one of my reasons for casting my support for Barack Obama. He will not be a puppet for the Special interest groups. The American people will have a president that does not owe anyone any favors. I hope that will be a beginning for a real change in Washington politics.

Barack Obama for the same reason Jason L just stated a few comments below me. In fact, Barack Obama even talks about how special interest groups and money controlling elections and how he stands against it in his book Audacity of Hope. Also Obama will engage the public more with our government (he's had years of experience with this at the local level as a community organizer). And finally, he is a man who is already admired in foreign nations (especially Kenya where his father is from), so he will definitely improve our shattered image with the world. I hope you do take all this information that people are giving you and do some of your own research. Ron Paul is another great candidate and the best out of all the Republicans in my opinion mainly because he's against the Iraq war.

I believe Mitt Romney would be the best person for the job in 2008, his conviction to morality and ethics should alone be considered in view of his faith. While some discredit mormons, they are usually people who live their faith. I believe that we need to strengthen the moral fabric and fiber of society, only a strong leader who isnt concerned with Vendetta's or money for his wallet can achieve this. What most people dont realize is this country was founded on CHRISTIANITY and while we will be tolerant of everyones opinion, this country should not change the foundation on which it was built, because what happens when the foundation is removed? Back to Romney..He is also a economic genius who will be intrumental to getting this country back where it needs to be and thus eliminating all that chinese trash we buy to save 50 cents. He has a proven record of success. I hope people arent bigoted enough to overlook him simply based on his personal beliefs. It was understandable back in the 1800's..Not today.

Who is the best candidate is not the question we should be asking, but rather why they will not win. If the world is to have any chance of overcoming it's problems, then the US (and it's Presidents) has to start acting like a citizen of the planet instead of telling us all how we should live our lives but not letting us vote. Your democracy is simply a feel god exercise to convince the American public that you care about issues when you really want to dictate, shame on you.

I'm supporting former Senator Mike Gravel. You should do some research on the candidates and make as informed a choice as you can. Pick whoever YOU think/feel is best and support them.

This is an question you should ask yourself, not others. If you are just going to listen to any peanut on the internet to make your decision then you are wasting your vote and corrupting the process. It is your vote, not mine, or anyone else on this website or the world. Choose what issues are important to you and relevant to the well-being of this country and research which candidates feel the way you do.

I am going to vote for Obama, unless he does something to tick me off. I feel very sure that he won't.

Hillary Clinton has the experience as a former First Lady, Barack Obama is favored by the youth and Ron Paul is supported by many Yahoo users because of his excellent views on critical issues.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know who will likely win.

Mit Romney, the current governor of Mass. He may not get
it because he's a Mormon, but he's the most promising and
not the corrupt liars that most of the runners are. That's fact,
and not my opinion.
We need someone who will serve to be the voice of the
people, and remember he was elected to serve the citizens
and I think several up for the election have forgotten that fact.

Liking Huckabee and Romney

Terrified that the popular press is going to help land us a Clinton/Obama ticket.
