The 4th of July and New Year's eve are not fun for pet owners... My poor dogs are drugged from 6pm on... and then I either run the vacuum. or turn the stereo on LOUD to help them... my neighbors are of no help... I feel if I give them until 10pm on a midweek day that's being nice.. they feel I'm impeding they're enjoyment and should take my 'shitty dogs' else where....... so.. no this has not been a good night... though tonight I got back at them by blasting christian and spainish muisic at the neighborhood.. what fun!

Of course ... my husband and I went for a long walk through the woods between two parks, came home and had steak, potato salad and mushrooms for dinner, and ate our dessert (coconut cake and ice cream ... mine was Berry sorbet, and his was Marionberry ice cream) on our balcony as we watched the fireworks ... now I'm answering a few questions before we go to bed. He's playing WoW but I decided to take the day off from doing that ...

Same as every other day :(.

I'm a firm believer that if today was a holiday for you, refer to it as "Independence Day" because we should remember, in the midst of all of the drinking, eating, music and fireworks...what the day is in rememberance of.

I'm sorry to be negative. I've had to deal with some as$holes tonight and it just makes me wish that people would remember why we even celebrate the day instead of just using it as an excuse for drinking, eating and setting off fireworks in the street.

The kind that have a loud boom and go high up and light up the sky. My neighbor also got and big box of fireworks. It took us 3 hours to blow them all up. My kids loved it. and thats what matters..
