I want to buy a macbook in the future, but want to run Windows primarily. Are there any drawbacks to bootcamp/dualbooting windows on an Apple/Mac machine? anything I can't do in Windows that I could normally do in Windows on a PC?

I researched buying a Macbook for months. I did it. I regret it. Don't waste your time or money. Just get a cool HP laptop and be done with it.
P.S. To Redsoxer, why would someone buy a Mac just to run Windows? That makes no sense. The hardware is no more reliable than any PC and is more expensive. You're full of it.
And to the person who said the asker would be blown away immediately by the Mac...that's not true. It doesn't make anything more fun. Here's a hint: Running X11 as a separate app in the background in order to launch OpenOffice?? Oh yeah that was a lot of fun.

Buy the Mac and don't look back. It'll blow you away when you see the difference. Macs actually make it fun to work. It will run windows flawlessly, if you want it to...but then you'll be missing out on everything a Mac can do that Windows can't. Either way you will have a superior machine, capable of running hindered OS as well as a PC, if you really want it to.

There are no drawbacks. Running Windows via BootCamp is no different than running it on a traditional PC.
Teaholic, you're full of it.
