USA talks about "freedom", but it sponsored Dictatorships, finances "democratic" organizations in other countries ex. Venezuela. which would turn countries into pro US. It had tortured innocent people thought to be terrorists (CIA secret camps in Europe).....
USA had actually helped Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden. Donald Rumsfield has even met Saddam and made deals with Saddam regarding chemical weapons and other deals. USA attacked Iraq for allegedly having WMD (USA was the only country to use an atom bomb on another nation).
There was "evidence" and as far as I can remember satellite photos of WMD in Iraq.
I could site many examples. In my view the United States does what is beneficial to its agenda, "democracy', "freedom" is used as a tool for USA's agenda.
Not all people had equal rights in USA till the middle part of the 20th century.

I don't, the US really hasn't done anything to me personally to make me hate it. I can't say I approve of the US and what they're doing but that's a different thing from hatred.

But on the other hand I can understand why some people might - the US has interefered (eg tried to replace democraticly elected governments with US friendly dictatorships) with the domestic politics of many, many countries leading to wars, tyranny and suffering of a great many people. The invasion of Iraq has led to greater suffering than at any time under Saddam (who was an asshole but not on the same scale as those who planned the invasion obviously) without even attempting to go after those who attacked America on 9/11. Most of the terrorists that have caused America to go on the warpath were originally funded and trained by America. The US approach to politicising science and selling out to big business has led America to become the worst polluter on the globe but yet the least concerned about pollution. The fact that a nation with so much technology and resources still has a sizeable population that believes the earth is less than 7000 years old... all of these things could, quite reasonably, lead people towards hatred of the US.

But on the other hand I look around the world and think that the US, for all it's flaws, isn't significantly worse than a great many other countries... it's just louder about it and naively proclaims that it's good and anyone who opposes it is evil.
Mostly I'd just like the US to be quiet and stop trying to fix everyone elses problems badly, instead they should concentrate on the severe domestic problems that they have.

I don't. I love America. I served for over 21 years in defense of this great nation.

I do hate what has happened to America over the past 6 1/2 years, however. Take that any way you wish...
