top 10 most overrated rock bands ever?

i am not saying all these bands suck or don't have talent. i like some of these bands.

1. The Doors - I cannot see what the deal is with J Morrison
2. Grateful Dead - I hate this band with a passion
3. Nirvana - Really, the founder of grunge. Try Again! ps. in utero sucked. Nothing like 5th chords.
4. Dream Theater - Lots of talent. they show off too much. they should write better songs instead of being like "look at me i can play sweeping appregeos on the guitar"
5. Phish - Trey A is not that good on guitar
6. Nickelback - Sounds like every other band
7. KISS - I think they suck
8. Queen - No Comment on them, just overrated
9. Pink Floyd - Great music, just too much hype
10. Aerosmith - simply tacky

Whatever man. Rock n Roll is Rock n Roll, you don't have to like it. Now go and write the best song in the world. Don't forget to add your major and minor 3rds to every chord and a few 9ths and 7th for color. What bands do you like anyway?

ok miss lost prophets up here ^ thinks she knows bout music lol, guns and roses are amazing so dont hate, kiss, nirvana yea kinda overrated, queen is sold, the doors were good just have a diffrent sound and areosmith gets the credit they deserve, pink floyd is amazing they just have a wired following, and nickleback is it me or do all there hits sound exactly the same just diffrent words lol

Pink Floyd is not overrated, if they were, people would acually know what Ummagumma is. I would say Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall is overated, not the acual band.

Nirvana, U2, Rolling Stones and Van Halen were always very overrated to me. I never ever liked KISS but those modern rock bands like MCR, FOB and that stuff are WAY overrated

Nickelback is great.
as for over rated, (though not neccesarilly bad).
1. KISS (never thouught anythnig was good)
2. The Doors (never got into it)
3. My Chemical Romance (everything they make annoys me)
4. Fall Out Boy (thin kthey are over rated)
5. Panic! At The Disco (just thin kthey are overrated too)
6. Nirvana (i only like one song)

I agree with the first answer. All of today's rock bands. Most rock bands through history were overrated too. (That doesn't make them bad, but truly, what is the big deal?)

I think Queen, Guns n Roses, The Rolling Stones, Nirvana and Pink Floyd are all overrated. We hear too much about them to give the other bands a chance.

The back street boys are over rated, thats why they are gone gone gone. I knew the day they turned down the make a wish foundaion to meet a little girl dieing of cancer was the end of the road for them, it was mean and KRAMA fixed there azz's

Nirvana is ok, gets a little annoying sometimes. Thier best is their unplugged cd, all acoustic, plus, the Meat Puppets guest appear on that and they are way better.
