He's 26 and has been smoking since he was 14. Thing is both his parents smoke; his stepfather smokes; and all his friends smoke.
He never did it to be cool, but because he enjoys it.
He quit cold turkey for a year, then started back up again.

What if he already doesn't get much sex to begin with? (It's long distance while I'm at uni.)

I don't constantly nag at him. I used to smoke as well....but I quit because it made me feel like crap.

I don't know, but if you find out,let me know. My man started smoking at about 15 when his parents split and he tried quitting many times. For a while back in April, i tried to help him quit by monitoring his cigarettes where i'd carry them and he could only have one when i came over and gave him one and it worked for a while. He eventually ended up not needing them anymore and quit cold turkey for about a month. But then he started again and now smokes more than he did before because he's been going through a lot of stress lately. Plus it doesn't help that his mom and her live-in boyfriend and all of his friends smoke. I really don't like that he does because i'm scared enough that he's diabetic and i really don't like when he smokes around his son. i don't even like being around it anymore. But if i bring it up, it'll cause conflict, so i guess i just have to wait until he ever decides he wants to quit and then i'll help him all i can. But i guess unfortunately that's one of those things that they can't quit unless they WANT to. So i guess you need to just have patience.
Or you could buy him NicoDerm for his Birthday or Christmas and hope he gets the point. I think i might end up doing that myself...

if he really loves u he'll quit smoking!tell him in a soft manner!if he is using 5 ciggrets per day convince him make it 4..so..on........he cant quit quickly so try 2 reduce no. of cigerrets he uses for per day!but 1thing u should've the patience and slowly change him!all the best

You can't. The only person who can help him quit is himself. Sorry. If you bug him it will just make it worse. If he asks for help then give it to him.

give him something to quit for.. my dad quit for 8 yrs because i was born..
u can say.. i'll give u ___ if u quit..or i'll do something in exchange..but watch out..he might smoke secretly
