I would say that most of us are victims of the mind. We might think that we are simply the victim of circumstance, but a closer look at the brain-mind-computer reveals that we are the victims of our own unconsciousness. If you aren't holding the reigns of your mind, then who is? Then we start blaming "circumstances, God, fate, etc." It seems that we are victims of circumstance, but ultimately we're just victims of our own unconsciousness, which for the most part will guide our life (until we grab the reigns).

No I'm not a victim of anything. I am a product of circumstance and many other things as well.

We are all victims of circumstance. It was outside of our control to be born, to be born now rather than at another time and to be born into what ever circumstance we find ourselves.

yes. just like aileen wuornos in the movie monster. except i'm not a prostitute serial killer. but there is a powerful analogy in the end of the movie about circumstance that almost anyone would be able to identify with.

Who isn't? Anyone thinking that he is in control needs to wake up. We can do only so much, beyond that there are many factors at work. Making efforts is every man's duty after that acceptance is the only course left.........
