i remember going there to buy pet supply's and seeing them there...but if it is bad to get them there i know a freind who's putting his up for adoption.

I know my local PetSmart doesn't, but I would call them and ask. If the cages there look clean, it should be fine to get it from there.

there's not a big market for pet hedgehogs.. Petsmart tends to carry pets that will be sold, such as birds, hamsters, etc. A hedgehog would likely sit in the cage for months at a time, not being properly handled and would not be a good pet. You'd be better off to find a hedgehog breeder and buy a baby that has been handled from a young age instead of buying from a petshop.

in my area of N.C. ( Durham ) you cant buy hedgehogs at any pet store. but also petsmart takes better care of there animals .
i got mine from my old high school animal science teacher.

We bought ours from a pet store just make sure its a baby, they need alot of care so they stay nice and so you can hold them. We loved ours he was fun.

PLEASE, do not purchase small animals from PetSmart, they are not caring for the animals they offer for sale in anything resembling humane treatment. People need to NOT support them in this by refusing to but small critters through their chain.
