Hmmm.... the Bible. Isn't that a book written by MEN??? Women are not lesser human beings and should be entitled to all rights given to men, including divorce.

The bible needs to update there stuff,,, if a woman is being beat by her controlling husband, or he's cheating on her, talks to her like she's nothing, her husband refuses to work, beats the kids. Works all day, while he sits on his @ss protecting the remote control and has to clean the house, cook dinner, take care of the kids, forced to have sex with the dead beat husband, why would she want to stay living a life of hell? I divorced my first husband because he lied and cheated on me all the time. I deserve to be happy and have a man that loves me and not everyone that has a hole between her legs. What gives him the right to in danger my life because he's a pig, self centered man that can't keep his pants up...

Reading in the bible, there were some men who asked Jesus was right in the law for a man to divorce his wife. And Jesus, said no, it was not so in the begining. God says what he has joined together let no man put a sunder, meaning when a man leaves his mother and marries a wife, they are then ONE. And cannot be taken apart.

it depends on the situation in the Bible, men treat their wives and children with respect most of the time, but if a woman and/or children are being beaten up by the man or he is cheating on her with no remorse and/or no signs of stopping then yeah i think she should have the right

Which Bible exactly are you reading.
My ex husband was cheating on me, refusing to financially support me, he was verbally/physically abusive & very controling. What other options were there to consider? Sharing my home with his mistress to keep the "mariage".
Right to divorce? It was my only way escaping from abusive husband.

Rights are for everyone.
All you need is a genuine reason for divorce. No woman should have to endure an abusive husband

Yeah well, somewhere between 2 and 5 thousand years ago, the tribal goat herders had ideas like that. Keep everyone under control and women in their place.
