these are the elements of A and B combined.

A(inverted U) B =intersection of A & B sets =common elements of 2sets ={4,5}

AU B = union of A & B = all the elements of both A &B
AUB ={1,2,3,4,5,6,7}

the inverted u is intersection(which ones are common in both sets) of A & B= (4,5)

the upwards u is the union which means you combine both sets together. A U B=(1,2,3,4,5,6,7)
