Yes. When you have it you're always worrying about your best answer percentage. It's very stressful if you want to answer a lot of questions.

Yeah mayb sometimes.
But i think benefits r more. I always think that people trust ur answers more wen u r a top contributer. And many people here are just new and post questions for the first time. For them, an answer by a top contributer has an edge over the other answers.
And yeah there may b some people who wont select ur answer as best if u r a top contributer.Mayb jealous or whatever.
But having a top contributor badge really looks good personally.Isnt it?
And Soumya as far as u r concerned, TC badge doesnt matter much.U hv such a good percentage of best answers which is generally not seen. And ur answers r good too:-)

*A top contributor badge help sometimes ONLY because of the relatively good quality answer of a relatively new answerer.
Once,I was not given the best answer only due to the best answerer had a few best answer-sympathy..........wild card entry!!
*If you are having 69% , then it is always possible that your answer will be a quality answer.
So, as far as the questioner is really a good questioner,it doesnt matter, whether you are having base or not.
Best answer choosen by voting is always vulnerable, because anybody can choose a best answer.
*As long as you give a quality answer, thare is no question of insult.
But if your answer is inferior, then you must be prepared for gross insult.
*you can take back your badges within a week.
Best of luck.

I wonder who & how a contributor is declared as 'Top'. I'd like to know what the criteria are.
Despite my 8200 points, (earned in less than 1 year), 6% best, negligible violation mails, YA does not think I am a Top Contributor.
OK by me for the time being.

Before I recently became a Top Contributor, I used to think that most of their answers werent worth much. Many of them that answered my questions gave off sorry answers so I never took them seriously. But not everyone is the same. I think I give heartfilled messages and not just one unmeaningful sentance put together. So yes it does help. Not being a TC has its advantages.

Well, as they say ....... uneasy lies the head that wears the crown !!!!!
So ..... u can relax & enjoy yr time here rather than bothering abt being the TC.
